Hudson County Chess Championship.

 

Your School has a Chess Champion.

Jeremiah Naramore from the Mustard Seed School in Hoboken Won the Hudson County Chess Championship on Saturday, March 28th, 2009.

Jeremiah went a perfect score of 5 wins and NO losses to win the third grade title.

 

Jonathan Lenz  from the Hoboken Charter School won Third place in The Kindergarten section.

 

Kindergarten Champion Surya Sendhilraj  from PS 16 School And the Hoboken Chess Academy won all his games to place first.

 

First grade Champion Adhish Kadam from PS 16 and the Hoboken Chess Academy also went 5-0.

 

The Champions from Kindergarten, First grade, Second grade and Third grade,

All went 5-0.

 

Players from the Wallace school were represented as well.

 

Please join me in congratulating the New Hudson County Chess Champions. 

Second Grader Keisha Solanki won 3 games respectfully to place 4th and trophied.

Vineet tiwari  and Thomas Narramore won 3 games respectfully as well.

Another Great Weekend!
Last weekend at the Jersey City Public school championship,
Students from the Newport Chess club  Domanated.
 
OUR NEWEST CHAMPION.
Kindergarten Champion Surya
won all his games to place first.
 
First grader Adhish won the first grade championship,
And All the second graders succeded! as well.
And it gets better.
Players past and present from this group
won The
NEW JERSEY STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Hoboken Chess Club Champions!

The Hoboken Chess Club participated in a chess tournament on Sunday April 6th, 2008 in New York. The tournament was sanctioned by the United States Chess Federation.   Over 250 children from all over New York City participated.

The 20 +-strong Hoboken Chess Club did very, very well – consistent with similar performances at other large tournaments.

WE WON!  Highlights include:

***Please note ONLY 1st and 2nd place teams were awarded***

Tournament-wide Champion Anagh Kulkarni.
Anang went a perfect 4-0!
 

·        First Place Team Championship for the Club’s 5-person team from the Cordero School in Jersey City. This same team also won the 2007 New Jersey State Chess Federation Championship.  

Playing for the team were; Yash Bajaj, Neil Mehta, Vrutik Thakkar, Aryan Singh and Anagh Kulkarni. 

·        Two 2nd Place Team finishes;

The Newport Chess group courtesy of J.C. and The Mustard Seed School in Hoboken.

The members of the teams were;

Newport; Mema Khazanov,  Ansul Kaware,  Aman Gupta,  Arpan Gupta, Daniel Khazanov and Yash Tewari.

Mustard Seed School; Brecon Hession, Thomas Narramore, Jeramiah Narramore, Ian Russell and Bredan Klemm-Smith.

    Jeramiah Narramore was outstanding, leading his team with 3 point, (3 victories).

 “Since it’s foundation 2001, the itinerant Hoboken Chess Club has racked up one of the most impressive track records of any club of its kind, including: New Jersey State Chess Champions 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.”

Hello.
We had a great tournament on Sunday (02/02/2008),
AGAIN.
This time in NEW YOUR CITY!
 
The Unrated section K-3rd
First and Second place teams were awarded team trophies .
Only (2) teams were awarded.
 
OUR Team in the unrated section K-3rd grades,
was one of Them!
We Won second place!  
 
 The players were Adhish (kindergarten), Brecon, Arjun,
Aman And Arpan  (First Graders) 
All players are first graders except Adhish (kindergarten)
and most players in this section were 2nd and 3rd graders!
Individual winners were;
Brecon Hession 3 wins, Tied for 5th!
( Brecon lost only to the overall winner , a third grader, and all the players ahead of him
were indeed third graders!
Arpan Gupta 2 wins and a draw, for 2 1/2 points !
 
 
In the rated section;
First , Second and Third place teams were awarded trophies.
Only (3) were awarded trophies.
 
And Again our Team was one of them!
Our team in the rated section,
Won third place!
 
Our players ;
All First graders except (one)
47 Playes in this section of which most were  6th and 7th Graders!
AMAZING!
Anagh Kulkarni won 3 games and losing only 1!
Anagh won a fifth place trophy!
